Perplexity
Perplexity shows its sources. Make sure one of them is your page.
Perplexity answers with numbered citations, which makes it the clearest place to see whether your AEO work is landing. This tool checks access, extractable answers and the technical signals behind a citable page.
Check your Perplexity readiness
No account needed. We fetch your homepage, robots.txt and sitemap and score how ready your site is for AI search. This measures readiness, not rankings. How we measure
What Perplexity rewards
Citation-first engines favour pages that make the extract obvious:
- PerplexityBot allowed in robots.txt and a reachable sitemap
- A direct answer in the first hundred words under a matching heading
- Specific, checkable facts — numbers, dates, named sources — rather than adjectives
- Clean HTML that carries the content without client-side rendering
- Corroborating third-party references to the same claims
How to structure a citable page
One question per heading, one short answer immediately beneath it, then the supporting detail. Add FAQPage schema for the question set. Date the page and name the author, because citation-first engines lean on freshness and attribution signals.
Questions we get
Does blocking PerplexityBot protect my content?
It removes you from Perplexity's source list. Some publishers want that; most B2B brands do not. The audit reports what your rules currently say either way.
Next steps
Start with the free readiness audit above. When you want a human-reviewed diagnosis or help completing the fixes, there is a step for that too.
